Questionnaire on cross-border recognition and enforcement of agreements in family matters involving children / Questionnaire relatif à la reconnaissance et l’exécution transfrontières des accords en matière familiale impliquant des enfants

hcchDear Sir / Madam,

The Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference on Private International Law is currently exploring the role that selected Hague Family Law Conventions play in cross-border recognition and enforcement of agreements reached in the course of international child disputes, including those reached through mediation (please see the Conclusions and Recommendations (para. 5) of the 2014 meeting of the Council on General Affairs and Policy).

To that effect, a questionnaire has been sent to government officials (including Central Authority personnel of the relevant Hague Family Law Conventions) and to the members of the International Hague Network of Judges. In order to also collect relevant information from practitioners (e.g., lawyers, mediators) and other experts of international family law, whose experiences and views are most interesting for the research, we take the liberty of asking you to complete the same questionnaire.

You are kindly invited to complete the questionnaire online in either English or French (a link to a Word version of the questionnaire is included in the introduction of the online questionnaire). We would very much appreciate your responses by Friday, 18 September 2015.

The Permanent Bureau would appreciate it if you could forward this message to other members of your association / organisation or to any other relevant contacts you have in this field for the purpose of completing the questionnaire.

The Permanent Bureau thanks you in advance for your co-operation in this project.
